Effective date and eligibility
Who will join DBplus?
All eligible GM CAMI employees who were hired on or after October 1, 2013, and who are currently participating in Section 11 (Defined Contribution provisions) of the CAMI Automative Pension Plan for Production and Maintenance Workers immediately prior to August 3, 2025.
When do GM CAMI employees start earning a pension in DBplus?
On August 3, 2025, GM CAMI employees will be enrolled in the CAAT Plan and begin making contributions to DBplus.
Who has already joined DBplus?
On January 1, 2025, the following General Motors of Canada employees were enrolled in the CAAT Plan and started making contributions to DBplus:
- All eligible General Motors of Canada employees who were hired on or after September 20, 2016, and who were participating in Appendix M (Defined Contribution provisions) of the General Motors Canadian Hourly-Rate Employees Pension Plan (“GM DC Plan”) immediately prior to January 1, 2025.
- Former CAMI employees who were preferentially hired at the Woodstock PDC on or after September 17, 2013, are currently working at the Woodstock PDC, and were participating in the GM DC Plan immediately prior to January 1, 2025.
