My retired member statement includes a request for Pension Confirmation. What should I do?


The pension confirmation process is one of the ways we ensure the security of your benefits by making sure we pay the right pension to each person. Use one of the methods listed below to contact the Plan and confirm your pension.

When confirming your pension, you will need to have your participant ID on hand, which can be found on your annual statement.

My Pension Portal

  • Log in to My Pension. (If this is your first visit, you can activate your account by following the instructions in this kit.)
  • Go to the Message Center, select “Send a message” and write “2022 Pension Confirmation” in the “Subject” field.
  • Include your name, participant ID and mailing address in the body of the message, along with the following statement: “I certify that I am the person identified above and that I receive a pension from the CAAT Pension Plan.”
  • If you choose this option, it is not necessary to send the Annuity Payment Confirmation form by mail.

 

2. Telephone

Call the Plan at 416-673-9000, or toll-free at 1-866-350-2228, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (EDT). Be sure to have your annual statement on hand.

If you choose this option, it is not necessary to send the Confirmation of Payment of Annuity form to the Plan by mail.

 

If you cannot use S-Doc or the telephone, email the Plan to confirm your pension. Do not attach a copy of the Pension Payment Confirmation form to the email.

  • Send an email to member@caatpension.ca with the subject line “2022 Pension Confirmation” followed by your LAST NAME.
  • Include only your name, Member ID and mailing address in the body of the email, along with the following statement: “I certify that I am the person identified above and that I receive a pension from the CAAT Pension Plan.”
  • If you choose this option, it is not necessary to send the Confirmation of Payment of Annuity form to the Plan by mail.

 

4. Position

Return the completed form to the CAAT Pension Plan using the addressed, stamped envelope included in your kit.

Complete section A and remember to check the box, sign and date the form.
