2026 remittance deadlines
The Employer Manual includes a table of contribution remittance deadlines. The table can also be accessed via PAL or on the Employer Resources page of the CAAT website. Remittances are due on or before the 30th day after the end of the month that the contributions apply to. This deadline is the same for all payroll schedules: weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly. Remittances received after the deadline are subject to a late payment charge.
Upcoming deadlines
- May 2026: June 30, 2026
- June 2026: July 30, 2026
- July 2026: August 28, 2026
- August 2026: September 29, 2026
- September 2026: October 30, 2026
- October 2026: November 30, 2026
- November 2026: December 30, 2026
- December 2026: January 29, 2027
In addition to remitting funds, employers must use the employer portal to create a contribution remittance summary (this does not apply to employers who receive automated invoices). The entry in PAL must match the payment sent to CAAT. CAAT uses this summary to ensure contributions received are accurately allocated to the employer account and applied to members’ pension records correctly and promptly.

Protecting member data
CAAT is committed to safeguarding members’ personal information with dedicated systems, processes, comprehensive training programs and ongoing monitoring in place to protect member data.
Employers and members can send information securely to CAAT through the following portals:
- My Pension: The Message Centre feature allows members to send documents and other sensitive information directly to CAAT.
- PAL: Employers should use the Message Centre in PAL to transmit any member personal data to CAAT.
Members or employers who cannot access the portals can use S-Doc, CAAT’s secure, easy-to-use encrypted document service.
Please remember: Email is not a secure method of communication and should not be used to send personal information to CAAT. If you have questions or need assistance with the portals or S-Doc, please reach out to your Pension Analyst.
Updates and reminders
Annual statements progress report
2025 annual pension statements are on schedule for distribution by June 30, 2026.
98% of active member statements were completed by May 31. We continue to work towards completing and distributing all remaining statements. Statements have been distributed to retired members, surviving pension recipients, and deferred members.
The 2025 statement covers the period from a member’s enrolment date until December 31, 2025 to show accrued pension benefits and when a member will be eligible to retire, making it a valuable retirement planning resource. We encourage members to review their statements and contact CAAT if there are any discrepancies.
June 30 pension applications
Read this if: you are an Ontario college employer
Thank you to all employers who sent in their June 30 retirement applications this spring to give our team as much advance notice as possible.
The deadline for submitting completed retirement election packages and supporting documents was June 11, 2026, to set up pension payments for June 30, 2026. Completed documents must be sent in by 3 p.m. EDT on July 14 for payment on July 31.
2025 contribution reconciliations
2025 contribution reconciliation reports are being processed and will be delivered to employers in August 2026. The reconciliation process allows CAAT to confirm if total credited contributions for members match received contributions.
Once the report is ready, you will receive a notification that the final package is available in PAL for your review.
- If a refund is due from CAAT: It can be taken as a credit against your next monthly remittance.
- If any amount is owed to CAAT: Please submit your payment along with your monthly remittance as soon as possible after receiving the report.
Reach out to your Pension Analyst for any questions/concerns.
